…because sometimes religious people need to repent of their religion.

Jesus didn’t come to save those who did enough stuff. Those who have given enough money, prayed enough prayers, helped enough people. He came to save those who can’t do it on their own accord. The reformed faith holds to this key point. That we, as a human race, need to be rescued. We are sinners, totally lost because of the wrong things we have done. We need a rescuer. God sent us one in the form of his own son! Jesus Christ came down to earth and preformed the greatest act of love anyone has every witnessed. He died…for us. Through his death and resurrection on the cross all of our wrong can be undone. Washed away. Our hearts can be made clean. Christians need to be reminded of this too! We can forget that our actions should be formed by a love for what Christ did on the cross for us not because it will gain us any favour with the Lord.
